What “raw” actually means
-
1
Never filtered
Nothing is strained out after pressing, which is why the oil stays thick and rich instead of thin and runny.
-
2
Never bleached
That's why it's deep, dark brown. Golden or pale batana has usually been processed.
-
3
Never deodorised
The roasted-coffee scent is how you know nothing was taken out. Batana that smells of nothing has been refined.

What 3-8 Weeks Of Batana
Actually Look Like
Softer hair shows up in days. The change worth photographing builds over a full cycle.
Ok this actually works 😳
6 years of braids and my edges been fighting for their life 😭 tried castor, rosemary, all of it. 7 weeks in and they actually filling in. They not snapping off every time I take my scarf off. I ain't gatekeeping, y'all better grab it.
I cried when I saw it 😭
That patch been smooth for YEARS 😩 I started rubbing this in every single night and around month 3 there's soft little hairs coming through where it used to be bare. Sat in my car and cried ngl. My scalp doesn't feel tight and angry no more either.
Finally not crying in the shower 🥹
4 months postpartum and I was pulling handfuls out every single morning 😩 wanted something natural since I'm still feeding. 3 months in the shedding has calmed all the way down and my temples don't look see-through no more.
It finally stopped snapping off
My hair broke at the same spot for years 😩 colour and flat irons, I know. First thing I noticed was no more tiny broken bits in the sink every morning. Two months and it's actually holding length. Still on my first jar.
Bought it for my hair, kept it for the beard
Wiry beard and the skin under it flaked non stop. Itching gone in about a week ☕ hair lies flat now so the patchy bits don't read as gaps. Beard looks fuller and thicker than it has in years.
Hair loss starts here. So do we.
Most products work on the strand. Batana works on the scalp — where hair actually grows back. One ingredient. Every hair type.

If it's not raw,
it's not batana.
Most “batana” out there is refined, diluted or blended into something else. That's why it never worked. This does.
Questions? Answered.
I've tried Batana before and it did nothing. Why would this be different?
Because most of what's sold as "batana" isn't Batana Oil. When it went viral, the market filled with jars of cheap carrier oil, a drop of the real thing, and "Honduran" printed on the label. People use it, feel nothing, and assume Batana doesn't work, when they never actually had it.
Ours is one ingredient: 100% Raw, unrefined Batana Oil. Open the jar and you'll know in a second. It's solid, it melts in your hands, and it smells like dark roasted coffee.
Is this actually from Honduras? Where exactly?
La Moskitia, on the Caribbean coast of Honduras. It's the one region where the American oil palm grows, and the Miskito women there have pressed Batana by hand for generations. Nuts are cracked, roasted and pressed the traditional way, in small batches, and carried out of a region with no highway.
That's also why it's priced like something a person made, and why it runs out. Every jar carries a seal with a code you can scan to confirm the batch it came from.
How do I know yours isn't diluted like the rest?
Check it yourself, no equipment needed. Tip the jar: it shouldn't move. Hold it to a window: the light should barely get through. Smell it: dark roasted coffee, slightly smoky, not sweet, and still there an hour later. Read the label: one line, Elaeis oleifera, nothing else.
Diluted jars pour, look pale, smell like a candle or like nothing, and list five to ten ingredients. If yours does any of that, it was never Batana.
Why is it so thick? Is that normal?
Yes. Raw Batana is a grease, not an oil. At room temperature it's solid and dark amber. You scrape a pea-size piece out, roll it between your palms for a few seconds, and it melts into a thick oil.
That texture is the whole point. A pourable oil runs off the scalp in minutes. Batana stays where you put it, on the scalp, all night. If a jar you bought was thin enough to pour, it wasn't this.
Will it weigh my hair down or clog my scalp?
Not in the amounts it's meant to be used. A pea-size covers the whole hairline. It goes into the scalp along the edges and temples, and what's left on your hands goes through the lengths.
Coily, dry and heat-tired hair drinks it up. Finer hair needs even less. Most people who find it heavy are using three times what they need. Use half of what you think, and hair comes out soft, never slick.
How long until I see something?
Within days: softer, shinier hair. That's the surface.
Weeks three to six: less hair in the sink, the short pieces at the front stop snapping off. Weeks seven to ten: fine new hairs at the temples. Month three: the front stops looking see-through in bright light.
Take a photo on day one in the same light you'll use again. You won't see it in the mirror. You'll see it in the photo.
Can I use it on my beard?
Yes. Many of our customers are men using it on the hairline and the beard. Warm a small amount, work it into the skin under the beard, then through the hair. It softens wiry beard hair and calms the dry, flaking skin underneath, and the coffee scent fades as it absorbs.
What if it doesn't work for me?
90 days, money back. One full hair cycle, the same length as the thing we're guaranteeing. If your hair isn't better for it, you get a refund, no return shipping, no scripts. Read the guarantee.
Or just reply to any email from us. A real person reads it, and we'd rather fix it than lose you.
